Welcome to the Stream Team Wiki

Wondering about the changes on our wiki? All of the work from the past four school years has been moved to the Project Archives page. Many classrooms will soon be collecting data at the streams and will be posting data, pictures, questions, and follow up inquiry investigations on their school page. Keep checking back!

Never doubt that a handful of committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

Join Klem South, Klem North, and State Road Elementary Schools in our continuing investigations of the streams in our community as we work as environmental scientists to evaluate the quality of the stream waters leading into the Great Lake of Ontario. The Great Lakes are a vital source of freshwater for not only our community but also our world and it is our responsibility as citizens living along the shores to be caretakers of this important natural resource.

From these experiences we will develop an understanding of the importance of clean, fresh water on our entire ecosystem. Throughout the year students will use this wiki to share and analyze data, collaborate on inquiry projects, and develop a multi-media stewardship campaign to inform citizens of our responsibility to care for and manage our Great Lakes, other freshwater resources, and the health of our local watersheds.
